Workshop 1: Sustainability

The goal of this workshop is to give companies a better understanding of what sustainability is, and how adopting a culture where sustainability is a priority can help realize efficiencies as well as provide a competitive advantage. Sustainability strategies are composed of environmental, social, and governance factors that, when considered for materiality, helps a company decide where to focus and how to drive impact. As well, this workshop will help companies communicate their efforts and progress through sustainability reporting. All attendees will be provided access to a beginner sustainability reporting tool at the conclusion of the workshop.

Workshop 2: Supplier Risk

While being a part of a corporate or an MBE network has its advantages, awareness of how your customers evaluate the potential risk you present to their supply chain is equally important. With the current economic challenges, customers are keenly focused on and sensitive to the impact suppliers can have on future business.  The reviewable risks can include current and future financial stability, strategic agility if natural disaster, geographical location, capacity availability of assets, work force availability, and growth based on revenue percentage. We will take a deeper look into the topic of risk during this workshop.

Workshop 3: Quality

Data derived from supply chains can give insight into performance areas. The goal of the quality workshop is to improve your understanding of how a customer sees the data. In particular, the workshop will address certain areas such as: Does the customer require ISO system in place? How can I prove that my current quality system has the right scope? The goal of a quality product is not just to satisfy the customer; but also to be the best supplier to work with. This requires end-to-end processes that support all commitments to your customer. We will discuss how to build quality into the customer’s requirements without eroding margins.
